  Facility and Building Process

Log Home: Blue Ridge Building

Blue Ridge Facility

One of the unique points of difference you’ll find when you build your dream home with Blue Ridge Log Cabins is the incredibly unique way your log home is built. Each and every home is constructed, under one roof, within our industry-leading facility. In July of 2008, Blue Ridge Log Cabins opened a new 110,000 square foot, state-of-the-art production facility, ensuring your dream home is constructed and assembled in ideal conditions within a specifically controlled environment, eliminating weather and other job site perils and conditions that affect standard site-built construction.

Technology & Process

[nggallery id=9]

The technology and process used to build Blue Ridge Log Cabins is exceptionally rare. Every home is built in a controlled, cutting-edge production facility. Before a house leaves the facility, plumbing and wiring have been finished, and all appliances, bathtubs, ceiling fans, windows, and other features have been installed.

Using an amazing, must-see-to-believe assembly line process, three dream homes, on average, are completed each week, and that average is increasing as the company has experienced rapid growth; the facility is capable of increasing production five-fold (15 homes each week). Many customers travel from across the country (by choice, not necessity) to experience the building process, interact with the team during construction, provide input/immediate feedback, and view first-hand the amazing progress of their dream coming to life.

The Blue Ridge Log Cabins family believes in providing customers with the highest quality home possible, as well as a smooth, seamless experience. All wood used for each home is stored indoors, and moisture content of each log is constantly and consistently monitored. Individual logs are also marked for grade, moisture and placement. Every home includes high quality doors and windows that provide an extremely tight seal and prevent the growth and accumulation of mold. In house engineers design our homes to withstand up to 130 miles/hour winds. Throughout the entire process, Blue Ridge Quality Control Managers closely and thoroughly oversee the construction and assembling process over each house before it leaves the facility, ensuring every detail of your experience and dream home.
